k guys im stuck on deciding

i just cant seem to make up my mind...these are the 3 subs i got in mind...

12" alpine type r 2005

12" pg x12d4

jl 12w3

i have a pg x600.1 amp to power them...i just want the best sq i can get and also want the sub to last me as long as possible...

i just dont want to disappointed in what i get...

I can't imagine you not being pleased with either choice. Been hearing a lot of good things about the type-r and the JL is a proven great speaker.

What's cheaper? Better warranty? Those would be my deciding factors.

No experience with the new type-r yet. So I could not debate the two. The old type-r's were near the same lvl as the W3's.

As for power, all you have to do is set the amps gain to match the subs RMS...

k i got it down to the type r or the pg x12...

i saw the pg sub today at the local store...looks really good..but i didnt get to hear it..

it would look good with my matching amp..still cant decide..

i need pros and cons

People hate to admit it... but its much more comparable to the w6, the w3 doesnt even come close.

Go with the R ported for SQ, sounds a heck of alot better in the proper ported box.

If you are stuck on sealed, one of the better sealed woofs I've used is the RE SE.

im more of a sealed guy...so ur saying the type r needs to be in a ported box in order to be good?...if i get a prefab ported box..will the type r sound good...

what specs do i need for the ported box then?
