Just installed subs, not that loud?

I have a 12 mx sealed in my 93 civic. So there is no difference when you move your seats down or up? Mine made a difference with that but then i took out my rear speakers and it wasn't a huge difference like before. i guess, if it makes you feel better about yourself. its not that im expecting too much, its just odd that the magnitude of the loss of output in cabin vs. trunk is so much, especially for a honda.

play your subs at a low level so you can barely hear the bass then sloooowly turn upthe head unit till the bass is loud enough for you, worked for me, don't just blast it right away

Noooo...this is how you do it....

Switch the + and - of the speaker terminals on the amp. This will flip the phase 180 degrees. Could sound much better, might not make a bit of difference. It's worth a shot.

And triple check to make sure your subs are in phase with eachother. You never know.

Quick check, switch the + and - on one of the subs and see if there's a difference. They might be canceling each other out and this quick check wont hurt anything, is quick, and might be your problem.
