I need recomendations for wiring 2 JL Audio 15W6 (6-ohm) speakers to a PPAI PC21400.2 Amp.

I tried to wire them down to 1.5 ohms but think I may have done something wrong. They seem to be out of phase with each other.

Amp specs are:

350w x 2 @ 4ohms

700w x 2 @ 2ohms

1400w x 1 @ 4ohms

Try hooking them up in stereo, 3 ohms per channel. Or get 1 more 15w6 and wire them at 4 ohms mono. Running that amp bridged @ 1.5 ohms will shorten it's life.

It shouldn't shorten the life if it is 1ohm stable and he is saying tho?

His amp is not high current, It will produce maximum power at 2 ohms stereo, 4 ohms bridged mono. Running it at 1.5 ohms mono will shorten it's life.

Is why I had the ? mark there am not too familiar with PPI but if they give a stating that it is 1ohm stable and even a power rating I would hope they can back it with it running at 1.5ohm even

to get the most power out that amp with out hurting it is to

do a series parelell combanation, put both speakers in the

box wired parelell, then take a speaker lead about 12 inches

or so and run it from the negative from one speak to the

next. then run one positive from the amp to the one sub and

same with the negative. if you dont believe me just use a

multimeter to test the resistence, stick the multimeter leads

in the back of the box, each speaker will read 3 ohms

wire them in series it doubles too 6, bridge that bad boy at

6 ohms. my w6s always read 5 ohm per coil 11 in series but i

got 6 12 wired in series and the multi meter reads exactly two.

your amp is 1400 at 4 ohms 700 at 8 ohms so it will be over

a thousand watts. good luck.
