Ahh, this is making my boring day at work soo much more enjoyable. And the "bass knob" you speak of, is your gain knob, it will only take your gain to what the max is on the amp, so as long as it was installed and tuned PROPERLY, yes, it is fine to turn the knob up, if it was installed improperly and you are clipping your amp, then yes, you are f_ucking it up, and no, dont use the bass knob unless your amp was set with it on.
And please keep the dumb comments coming, im dieing over here.

I didnt pay them to do it. They did it for me for free. The guy just sat in the car listening to a song, and adjusted each of the "knobs" on the back of the amp until it hit lower and more deep.
it can be done. dont act like it cant. just like u can make ur subwoofers hit higher frequencies, but if u do it too high you can blow your shit. come on guys i barely know anything about subwoofers, but some of yall dumb as fucl{

I am going to ship my amp down there to see if it will hit lower.

Please, get into your car with your system, drive to this beach you speak of, and drive into the water until your car is full of water. omfg... we have really high ceilings, like really tall *** celings. you need a ladder to reach the top and even on the very top of the ladder, my mom couldn't reach it. Also, the smoke detectors we have dont go off like they would if they sensed smoke. When the battery needs to be replaced, it just beeps lightly like once every 2 minutes. and it was outside of her bedroom so it kept her up.

Why didn't she just get yer dad to do it? God knows I'm the first person MY wife comes too when there is shit to fix....

my dad has Fibromyalgia... he cant do a lot of things. the only aerobic exercise he can participate in is walking a mile every couple of days. it really cut down on his job.

its not bad as long as you arent clipping the hell out of your amp but even then it might not be bad... ive been runnin a pos amp for 2 years, clipping the hell out of it, bass boost all the way up, it works flawless

and yes, you can use the bass boost all you want, it will just make your amp clip sooner unless you readjust your gain down some

you just have to be carefull you dont cook your sub. a 500 watt amp, clipping hard, can be LIKE sending your sub twice the power (1000 watts)
