anyone willing to recommend an enclosure volume, or tuning frequency? Or if you wanna help me to learn how to figure out optimum tuning freq. for different subs that would be even better. I have read it somewhere but didn't find it when i searched.

going in a friends car.....power will be a 500/1........should be plenty of power.

That'll be a little bit much to be honest. A 250/1 would be a safer bet for daily use. My 12w0 didn't like more than 200 watts daily, that's how I broke the tinsel lead on it again. (It was repaired once)

I had 4 10w0s on 225 a piece, THEY LOVED IT! I had them in JL spec for sealed so it probably was able to handle the power better... This was still probably my favorite system I've ever run.

I also had 4 10w0's running off from a phoenix gold zx400 at 2 ohms stereo, they were prolly getting 125 each and they loved it in small sealed boxes! One thing about JL is that they can take a lot of abuse! Ill trade you 4 10w0's for 2 ten inch w3v2 and one 12 inch w3v1!!!! good luck!!!

Yeah I as well had the 10w0's. Ran each off of like 150wRMS and they sounded great in a sealed box at around 1.6 CuFt. for 2 of them.
