I've got a problem with these L7's.

Loyd(Bigbassman) told me this was the equation... 1130 Divided by the amount of ft from the front windshield to the rear glass then divide that number by 4. You should come out with a number somewhere between 50-60hz in most vehicles. How much db will I gain with retuning the port? I've been told that its hard to get more out of such a small ported box.

I was using L7's and wasn't satisfied either. I switched to HCCAs and WOW. I am now hitting 145+ dB's constantly with my Epic-150. I have yet to play test tones but I can't wait to see what I hit.

an L7 would murder an HCCA. HCCA's are great subwoofer but like a stroker outdated in my opinion. a guy had a single HCCA 15" at the last comp i was at with 1500watts rms he did like a 144.5 i did a 148.4 with my single L5 15".

I am not saying that L7's ****. By all means, L7's rule also. However, in my app, they didn't do me any justice. It just really depends on the persons install. You know, amp(s), vehicle, and what size box they will be using. If L7's make your head hurt, then bump them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
