SOME car audio will be able to hold its own, but headphones DIRECT the sound DIRECTLY into your ear...in the car, you are fed signals that have bounced off of numerous surfaces and have distorted. its uneven because you're a different distance from each speaker....its no contest. you'd have to spend many thousands of dollars for good speakers and many hours customizing your ride with kick panels and pods that deliver the sound directly to you, unimpeeded.
