Is this set up dangerous?

man, im not sure. im new to this car audio game, and i just found these for a good deal on craigslist so i picked em up. I know thats stupid, but im new to this thats y im askin..

Yup you're asking. You're going to have to find model numbers and answer his question in order for anyone to answer yours. In essence, it's stupid. Throw it out. However, giving us model numbers will tell us whether or not you're going to fry the amp with those subs connected, assuming your settings don't kill it first.

... i would guess and say it could be dangerous depending on it it got wired below 2ohm. if its the amp i think it is then it only has 35rms x 4 and at this low of power it could damage the subs (altough this is all a guess until i know what your running)

To answer the question. Yes anytime yous start changing the ohm load(the load the subs place on the amp) you can cause damage to the sub(s)/amp(s) fairly quickly if it is done incorrectly.

At the very least get pics of the subs and perhaps we can help you determine how to wire them and what to use and not to use in your application.

Wanna answer my question dude? Ever get my last PM? lol

I have a Ford Escort, and i bought a 444 watt Xplod amp and a 10" Xplod sub a while back, i recently got 2 12" JL audio subs, i hooked all of these subs up to that amp. Is this dangerous for the amp, or the subs in any way?
its in danger of being laughed at by everybody!!
