it isnt the perfect sub because everyone has a different preferance so how could this be the perfect sub! it is perfect to the guy who did the review. i dont trust other poeple's reveiw's because they may have a different preferance. which would lead to me getting a sub they like that i could end up not liking and just wasted a crap load of cash on.

Why are all of you so hung up on the price. When talking about "perfect" or more reasonably the "best" than money shouldn't have any influence on that. Who cares if a speaker costs $500,000, if it sounds better and gets louder than all of the other speakers on the face of the planet than it deserves the title "best" or "perfect" although I wouldn't necessarily use that word.

When asked what's the perfect car in the world you wouldn't answer "honda civic" now would you? Great value maybe, but that has nothing to do with it being perfect or the best. I'd most likely expect answers for cars that are $100k and upward. Or here's an even better example. When asked what's the perfect computer would you honestly care about the price of the computer when answering that? No, you'd start rattling off the BEST parts in the world regardless of price. Oh crap here's an even better example. What's the best or perfect violin? Most people would say it's a strativarius and those violins go for millions of dollar.

To be quite honest I would have thought the perfect sub would be at least $10,000 dollars. I guess speaker technology isn't advanced enough to warrant that price tag... yet.

I just don't understand why you are all getting hung up on the price when looking for the perfect, I prefer the word best, sub. It's like you are offended by how much it costs, or maybe the fact that you yourself can't afford it? Who knows, whatever.

What do you expect to compete with this? It would take two 13W7 to keep up, and two of those will be about $2000 retail.

If you are talking about raw linear displacement potential, the 06xxx bests it by a considerable margin, and can be had for far cheaper than 2 grand. Could prolly pick up 2 for that price. It has about the same displacement as an 05xxx. Certainly nice, but certainly no where near the most.

If you are talking about sheer power handling for SPL burps, well lets see how it competes in the lanes before we go blowing a load in our pants over it.
