My local dealer was really raving about this sub today, even though he doesn't sell em. I can't see myself paying $2000 for 1 sub though......

no, its not the perfect one.
for that price you could get like 2 or 3 of the next competing subs
What do you expect to compete with this? It would take two 13W7 to keep up, and two of those will be about $2000 retail.

i cant remember the name, but a little while back some magazine tested one of these and said it would be the sub that all other subs will be judged on... apparently it is an execelent sub...
Car audio and electronics magazine.

The perfect sub would have a quad stacked 140oz Beryllium magnet. Now that would be crazy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

why would you want a QUAD stacked sub.......I dunno about you, but I like having take off power in my car. This sub only weighs 16 lbs. My deg on Orions weighed 30.03 lbs a piece and to me that was ridiculous weight in my car along with my 60 lb box.

No, this is.........

The Torus Infrasonic Generator

The Torus Infrasonic Generator is completely original in thought and execution and manufactured by Wilson Benesch in Sheffield. The finest materials in the world have been designed into this product, materials technologies that you will not find in any other audio product.

To date, all audio designers attempting to create low frequency sound have produced a variable of the ubiquitous Subwoofer. In reality, the only option available to the consumer, has been to opt for brand A’s version of the collection of parts, as opposed to brand B’s version. As competition has grown, the variables have changed. Bigger amplifiers to drive more in-efficient woofers or different cabinet materials, essentially they have remained the same. After three years of research and development, the Torus System can be seen to offer a significant departure from the Subwoofer solution for developing infrasonic sound. This product is so different, that it clearly demonstrates the fundamental flaws in the design of the Subwoofer and provides a real alternative for Music and Cinema effects.

Unfortunately, its not a car sub, its a highend home sub.

And it costs $5,400 for just the sub in a cabinet, no amp, no crossover.

Or dont get 2 13W7s because there are much better subs for the price //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
