Is this car worth it?

not really way above. sorry. owned both, just not true. and the chevy 350 sure. what about the lincoln town cars? or the cadillacs?
Those are all GM products. I'm not sure of his name(the guy the made the delorean) was a engine genius.

Once he left Chevy they have been playing catch up ever since.

That would be John Delorean. Good engineer , with the business sense of a pickle. And as said above GM doesn't make lincoln/mercury. Ford products my man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Drop 4 batteries and some spare part driver contraption you can throw together and a nice fartbox and get 152 out of that car.

I never said I was a import fan.
On the flip side lets see how long a properly maintained Japanese car last versus a properly maintained American car......no contest.
I wasn't referring to you specifically as an import fan with my comment. But now that you mention it, for a non-fan, you sure say all the same things an import fan says. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Your generalizations about the quality of American cars versus imports is not even worth arguing about. There are POS American cars and Japanese cars, just like there are good versions of each.

I have had imports, domestics, vans, trucks,a moped, Honda Hurricane 1100.........a 64impala with 10 switches! It is all how you take care of your ride, I don't care what anybody says. If you drive it like you are Tony Stewart most the time, then it won't last forever, unless you are blessed from the car gods.

It is about general up keep and not driving like a retard. I have had a cavalier well over 200k, also had a Nissan 300zx with the twin turbos over 200k until I blew a rod........cause I was driving like a retard!

Also helps to know who the retard you bought your used car off of and how he treated it. That is why I tend to buy new anymore, as I had some bad luck with buying used there for a while.

I own an '88 Civic. Have had it for nearly 5 years. It is a daily driver and runs fine. Have replaced the front brakes and an axle since owning it...that's it other than oil changes, a tune up, etc. It has just over 100k miles on it.

I would offer $1000 cash.

The advice of having it checked by a good mechanic is great advice and worth every penny spent. Even if there are only minor wear/age problems and you buy it you will know what needs immediate attention etc.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Looks to be in fairly good condition. Don't look to have usual rear wheel well rot but thats something to check for. Also KBB means nothing with older cars. As cars get older, its harder to find them in good condition. A car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
