Fi. SSD Vs. Fi. Q What to choose?

OKay heres the deal Im looking for some new subs, and Have decided on Fi.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So I wanted a good daily driver with some nice lows similiar to an SQ sub. It will be in a ported box running of a ZX 1500.1. I had my mind set on the Q series but was told that the SSD series could take more than the 800 rms and are great all around subs. (Might upgrade to 2k watts one day) So help me out. Appericate it.

i love my 2 12'' SSD's would love to hear a Q.

im giveing mine about 800rms 1000 peak per sub. and they can take it like a champ. and sound **** good doing it.

infact i noticed when i gave them more power they came alive and sounded better..

but i still kinda wanna hop into a set of Q's or AQ HDC312, just to try em.

A pair of SSD's would work fine with that amp, or a Single Q...might want to entertain the BP Power option if you hammer on things for extended periods...

Would if I eventually upgrade the amp and get something that puts out 2k, would I still be safe?

If you don't abuse it, sure. If you abuse it you'll blow any speaker...

just whatever sub you do decide to go with. just make sure it's in a custom built box.. not a pre fab.. you will hear the diffrence

Honestly with that power you have now, Id go with the ssd's . My girlfriend has two 12 inch ssd's (copper coils) in her car running off roughly 950 rms per sub and the subs take it like a champ . No mechanical noises or bottoming out ,etc.. They put up a 143.4 on the TL at 36z. Car is a Toyota Camry . I also hooked her subs up to an AQ 2200d and gave the subs 1000rms each . Sounded lovely lol . Like sethphilips said these subs get louder and come alive past 800 rms .

I like the idea of a pair of SSD with copper option, sealed.
