Is this box ok for an SRx?

Is it a myth or true that slanted boxes make a big difference in cancellation? Or is that just perfect cube shapes?

btw weight for me makes a difference, will 1/2" MDF be ok? or is 3/4" the ONLY way to go.

A slanted box would help eliminate cancellation. However, unless you box is a perfect cube you shouldn't need to worry about cancellation. Even if you box is a cube cancellation is not going to be very likely to occur.

I personally wouldn't use anything less then 3/4". If you are looking for lightweight then consider doing fiberglass. You could also make the enclosure out of 1/4" or 1/2" and then fiberglass the inside. That would be a lighter way and would still be strong.

Okay, ill use 3/4 MDF. Also for 1.5cu ft I should use 1.5lb polyfill also right?

well fiberglass isnt strong at all on flat pieces, only in corners and around curves

another option is to go with a sandeply or birch, both are light as shit and rigid as hell.
