I guess people Havnt been able to grasp the fact that all I'm saying is that the hcca can hang with any Sub out there for Spl. I never said it sounded good but it moves a lot of air and takes gobs of power. I also tried to say that there is no best sub or loudest sub, once you get to a certain point its all install so you can't say sub a is louder than sub b on 4k. There are just too many variables that play into getting loud. Apparently the dude thinks that on a certain number of watts sub A can crush sub B in spl.I gotta agree with Liquid on this one. The HCCA is a BEAST, period. Put in an ideal box with 3-4k and its gonna get ridiculous. But as most have said, it isnt very musical //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
The HCCA is a quality driver , but there are better SPL subwoofers out in comparision, the HCCA as stated in alot of other threads is not very efficient compared to alot of other subs out there such as the APX, APXX , etc. mainly due to the high mms and moderate BL, not saying it's not a great sub , but it is far from the end all beat all SPL driver.I guess people Havnt been able to grasp the fact that all I'm saying is that the hcca can hang with any Sub out there for Spl. I know a Best Buy brand that gets louder...names? links? all i know is just the "known best buy subs"
Technically, depending upon efficiency, at a certain amount of power 1 sub should beat out another. If you take all other variables away. The two of you are talking apples and oranges. You're saying the maximum theoretical output of a sub, he's talking clamped power all other variables ignored.I guess people Havnt been able to grasp the fact that all I'm saying is that the hcca can hang with any Sub out there for Spl. I know you are probably talking about the new XXX, but I always found it funny people would suggest the older XXX was not a good SPL driver, but would drool over the idea of running Brahma Extremes... which are basically exactly the same as an 03-05 XXX. As a few people have recently suggested in this thread, at some point install becomes the key factor, and the sub used itself becomes less important than simply designing/implementing the install to maximize the potential of the particular driver you chose to use. Go tell Scottie Johnson that an 05 XXX sucks for SPL because of inductance, BL, or xbl^2... and see what he says. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifFunky Pup > HCCA ALL DAY!!!
but no really, I've seen some RE XXX Setups get LOUD! and had more excursion than i thought, but i've never heard a HCCA up close sooo...
Tottie will just throw SPL dust in their face. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI know you are probably talking about the new XXX, but I always found it funny people would suggest the older XXX was not a good SPL driver, but would drool over the idea of running Brahma Extremes... which are basically exactly the same as an 03-05 XXX. it was the older one. atlesast thats what they guy told me. I dont really know how to tell as I only owned one RE sub, a 12 SE, for about 5 minutes then some guy offered me double what i paid. I wouldnt mind trying a XXX 12 tho (the older one u speak of)I know you are probably talking about the new XXX, but I always found it funny people would suggest the older XXX was not a good SPL driver, but would drool over the idea of running Brahma Extremes... which are basically exactly the same as an 03-05 XXX.
