Is there something better and hits harder than a 12" HCCA?

Let me remind a few of you guys that this is not the t-dome, insulting other people is not acceptable here. I dont care how much you disagree with them, or if they are flat out wrong, calling names is simply uncalled for. If the person is so very very wrong, it should be easy to explain why without calling them an idiot, a retard, or telling them where they can stick their opinion. If you cant do that, in a responsible and mature way, I suggest you keep your opinion to yourself.

I will stop making these friendly reminders, and simply start handing out infractions and/or banning people, if this sort of thing continues. The tech section will not devolve into some schoolyard pissing contest, and I will boot anyone I have to in order to avoid such a situation. Play nice guys, or take your ball and go home. Its just that simple.

Maybe I didnt make myself clear enough. The tech section is not the place to troll, veer the discussion off topic to your drug habits, or pick fights with other members or mods. One person here has received a ban for taking my first warning too lightly, does anyone else want to follow him?

I dont like having to act like a hard ass like this, but every single one of you know the rules by now.

Perhaps the Pioneer TS5102SPL is a better overall 12 inch sub than the HCCA. It has a titanium voice coil former, a HUGE chrome top plate and triple stacked magnets that go alll the way through! lol

I gotta agree with Liquid on this one. The HCCA is a BEAST, period. Put in an ideal box with 3-4k and its gonna get ridiculous. But as most have said, it isnt very musical //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I guess people Havnt been able to grasp the fact that all I'm saying is that the hcca can hang with any Sub out there for Spl. I never said it sounded good but it moves a lot of air and takes gobs of power. I also tried to say that there is no best sub or loudest sub, once you get to a certain point its all install so you can't say sub a is louder than sub b on 4k. There are just too many variables that play into getting loud. Apparently the dude thinks that on a certain number of watts sub A can crush sub B in spl.

The HCCA is a quality driver , but there are better SPL subwoofers out in comparision, the HCCA as stated in alot of other threads is not very efficient compared to alot of other subs out there such as the APX, APXX , etc. mainly due to the high mms and moderate BL, not saying it's not a great sub , but it is far from the end all beat all SPL driver.

This and the cost is why you don't see alot in the lanes.

here is your thread from a couple of months ago, where Jacob talks about the motor strength of the HCCA

Technically, depending upon efficiency, at a certain amount of power 1 sub should beat out another. If you take all other variables away. The two of you are talking apples and oranges. You're saying the maximum theoretical output of a sub, he's talking clamped power all other variables ignored.

Funky Pup > HCCA ALL DAY!!!
but no really, I've seen some RE XXX Setups get LOUD! and had more excursion than i thought, but i've never heard a HCCA up close sooo...
I know you are probably talking about the new XXX, but I always found it funny people would suggest the older XXX was not a good SPL driver, but would drool over the idea of running Brahma Extremes... which are basically exactly the same as an 03-05 XXX. As a few people have recently suggested in this thread, at some point install becomes the key factor, and the sub used itself becomes less important than simply designing/implementing the install to maximize the potential of the particular driver you chose to use. Go tell Scottie Johnson that an 05 XXX sucks for SPL because of inductance, BL, or xbl^2... and see what he says. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Tottie will just throw SPL dust in their face. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
