Is there a point to mono amps???

Ok wouldnt it make more sense for me to just get a 2-ch amp for better wiring options, since they'll put out the same power when bridged. and give me more wiring options since i can wire the 2 subs each bythemselves or together??

no. you really don't want your subs run in stereo anyways.

most mono amps are class d design...which in turn are more efficient than class A/B amps (2-channel or greater amps) and iceteebone is also correct...subs aren't supposed to be run in stereo...

Yeah, but it's a minimal amount of sacrifice for less heat, better efficency, and more power.
oh yea. thas true, unless your a competitor/audiophile or just want cleaner sounding music comin into your years. off a stock lectrical system, D is best
