No audio output

i have a mtx 81000D and a week ago i was bassin out and then it just stopped.. the sub (XXX 15) didn't pop, smoke, or smell... the power light is on but no sound.. could it be the RCA's or the amp itself...

Check your fuses and fuse holder. My jbl amp stopped playing b/c there was a burn mark on the fuse and fuse holder.

That would be a blown fuse...

It could be the RCAs.

remember the MTX 81000D does not have a internal fuse the fuse is rite before the amp...weird...but if the fuse was blown the power light wouldn't still be on tho....

i have one that did the same thing and it ended up being some output transistors blowing out. it would power on but no sound. i dont think the rca are to blame they are made of metal not like the older amps being made of plastic and broke often.. you wouldnt want to sell it would you?

oo okay nice....and noo i had this amp for 4 years.. the amp powered from 2-10s..old school kickers. 4-12 eclipses..1 kicker l7 15 and now 15 XXX... i love this amp it may be old but i love it.....i went to a local shop and the guy told me that the 81000D was the best amp MTX mad.....thats y he told me to get it repaired then get a new one...
