Is my battery ok??

go to autozone and see what the battery is putting out.. all you did was take some life off the battery.. the question is how much.. you can return it under warranty for pro rating price if it doesn't pass load testing

but now I cant connect my cables back up because I get constant heavy sparking from the battery terminals. When I went to rehook up the cables the battery started to smoke again and the screw terminal got seriously hot....and it was only on it for a couple of seconds...

I did over and over...Im just gonna go ahead and try and get autozone to replace it since i did just buy it two weeks ago....I even took everything off and just touched the cars normal positive cable to the battery and negative to the battery and it still sparked heavily

i was trying to redo the big 3 wiring on my car and i was in the process of routing the engine block to ground run because the crimp came off and went to take the negative out of the battery but the wire got pushed over and touched the postive terminal on the battery and it caused a short spark and the next thing i know i see smoke coming from underneath the battery and i hear sizzling n my alarm went off.
run on sentence much?!?!

im sorry im use to Instant messaging friends online and I never use periods when i talk to them so that language kinda transfered over to anything i do on the internet...

wow, what do you know, something is damaged...exactly as I said.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say you fried something that's causing a direct short between the terminals. Try hooking something up to the battery that you can control, anything that uses 12v (could be a dome light, it doesn't matter). If you hook that up to the battery and it doesn't spark then you know the problem is somewhere in the car (which is what I would assume)

I just pulled a real bone head move a minute ago....I was trying to redo the big 3 wiring on my car and i was in the process of routing the engine block to ground run because the crimp came off and went to take the negative out of the battery but the wire got pushed over and touched the postive terminal on the battery and it caused a short spark and the next thing i know i see smoke coming from underneath the battery and i hear sizzling n my alarm went off....no fuses blew and my amps are working normally as well as everything else but did i just harm my battery????
Yup, it's defenses are broken. Let the slaughter begin...

Well I just tried to hook up my friends battery and the same thing happened..so I guess the battery is fine and i ****ed up something else....

well I think I just fried whatever was causing that high current situation with my friends battery....because now I can hook up the battery fine again and everything works...just havnt tried to start the car....when i hooked up my friends battery i saw alot of smoke coming from where the starter is....
