is my amp to weak?

i'll entertain your oblivious babble. check out the sensitivity of the W3's and the sensitivity of the W6 and the W7. now factor in the cone area and the excursion obtained at 600w of input. the pair of 12's are louder, period. especially when comparing a JL enclosure to a JL enclosure.
Who said that a sub with a higher sensitivity would get louder? thats like saying a car with more HP is faster.

Also, now that he's got those W3's, once he realizes they're not loud enough, how does he upgrade? Before he could have sold his amp and bought a 1000/1 and been more than happy.

lol guys its tight... i know what i want to do now... im just ganna stick with my 2 subs and work now on my speakers and amp for my car... thanks for everyones help.. im happy with what i have right now

I suggest checking out the classifieds section if you're going to stay with JL, i don't know how you afford to buy all your stuff from dealers, a little used stuff never hurt anyone :-D

did we forget he has 600w to play with? get the two enclosures he has or has owned. the point of a "perfect" ported box is irrelevant, since he had the prefab JL enclosures. If you compare the enclosure that they'll stick a 12W7 in to the ported enclosure that they'll stick the pair of 12W3's in on the same amplifier. which i've done numerous times, not saying i promote or condone JL use personally. you will clearly see that the sensitivity of the drivers and cone area nearly doubling coupled with the enclosure clearly outpound the single W6 or W7 in ANY of the JL prefab single subwoofer enclosures that fit those subs without modification. the thread starter clearly stated before that he was using prefab JL enclosures. did he not, or did we forget that somewhere along the lines.

JimJ, you do realize that you are the ONLY person in this group of yes men that understands 1/3 of what you said. I kept things simple to understand and when you apply what I just stated above to the situation, you'll see that there is still no need to point out the extreme details of how the subs work to those that won't get it without a 4 hour tutorial.

is that a fact? just because we dont feel like typing out a paragraph doesn't mean we dont understand 1/3, 1/4 1/2 or whatever that he said...just sayin

We'll see if in a few months, after he is showing off his system, and he gets pwnd, if he's not back here ready to upgrade, i give it 4months before he's looking for more and better.

what did he say that was so complicated??? If he intimidated you with that, I feel sorry for you.

x2 for sure....my new motto a few years ago because, "go all out or dont go at all", and he shuda did that from the beginning with the W7 and just stuck wt it
