Learned it's overpriced, and haven't got it hooked up yet, but when i mention it you guys make it sound like i got from walmart.

Know you guys have some better equipment, but i'm not trying to let other people hear it. Just want quality bass that will give me a good massage. Is it really that bad?

Paid 240 for it new with warranty knew someone at the store, and found a great coupon code after searching for awhile. Tried using it again, but they cancelled it after i used it or i would share it. The 400$ is crazy

if you wanna be loud....ur pockets cant be empty

I dont think I've heard anyone say the w7 was a bad sub. Hell I wish I had one (or four). Some people are on the "I hate JL Audio no matter what" bandwagon. They make great products, and yes they are a little pricey but they dont seem to have a problem seeling them. I mean if someone will give me $400 for my $200 sub then I to would sell it for $400. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

nothing wrong at all with JL but i have a personal vendetta against them you go around town and you see all these people with the JL stuff and they think it came from the gods then ill say yeah i got a few atomic 10s and most of the JL following will automatically assume that what i have is complete crap which is when i tell them how much i paid get in my car turn my music up and drive off im pretty sure that if you took a xplod and slapped a JL sticker on it you could sell it for $200 because of the name they make a quality product but untill their prices come way down im not touchin it

bottom line is i have nothing against JL its just the JL followers that give them a bad image in my mind

Yeah I get the same thing, most here have never heard of Sundown and thing my stuff is a joke. They get a little pissed when they realize my system is louder and sounds better than there Jl/Memphis/RF. Like you said its mostly the people who actually own JL that give it a bad name, a bunch of folks that dont actually know anything about car audio. Not all of them, but some. My first system when I was 15 was JL audio subs with a RF amp.

The W7's are very nice subs, they can get pretty loud and sound good too. The only problem is the price...

I did a box for a local guy with a Yukon and a 13W7 and we got 144 db legal on the glass out of it @44hz. Not bad at all for a single 13" sub with 1000w in a huge vehicle.

thats another thing about the followers... now im saying most not all there is a few smart ones... but most of them dont even know what to do when something goes wrong the pay the price for the setup then have the shop install it too because they wouldnt know where to start so the JL "professional" install runs them even more and when you try to talk sense into them its useless unless you have something good to say about JL it goes in one ear bounces around a little then comes out the other

This site is into sound off systems, so if it cant take 3,000w or hit 160 deebees they wont be real interested.

Another issue for members here is that the JL subs cant be reconed as easily, so spending a lot of money on a W7 that they would likely blow up makes them a bad purchase (to them).
