I did 2 out of the big 3. I have already the bigger wires and a bigger/better battery (yellow top), but becasue the vechicle is not mine right now, I can't put in a new alternator. My voltage drops down to well it's in between the 9 and the 14, so I guess it would be 11.5, so I was wondering would it be better if I got a second battery in the back or should I get a cap. I will hopefull get an alternator upgrade soon. But I was just wondering what would be better.

doing 2 wires out of the big 3 more than likely wont help you at all try taking 2 fire hoses and hooking them together and then putting a garden hose on the end... still wont get you anymore water

im gonna have to disagree with the 2/3 doesnt help. cuz it did when i only did the grounds in my honda fit. i ran the stock alt big 2 d5100r in the front and d3100 in the back with 3kw for about 4 months until i got a new ride. i think voltage dropped to like 12.5v or so

If you only did the grounds on yours you got no more power than will fit through the stock power wire... back to the metaphor...

Not true. Learn about resistance.

Edit: I'm not advocating you only do 2 out of 3 but to say that decreasing the resistance of 2 out of 3 series resistors will not reduce the overall resistance and thus current allowed to flow is ridiculous.

please read my post again... how are you going to get more power out of the same wire? yes it might decrease the overall resistance and might give you a tiny bit more than before but you still cant shove more power through the same wire either way if your going to spend the time to do 2/3 of the job go ahead and hit the last wire
