I wanted to know if overpowering a sub is good or bad? I just got a sub rated at 400 watts rms and I'm giving it 600. Will this damage the sub or is it ok? The sub is a Pioneer premier 12 in a sealed enclosure with a jbl 600.1 sub amp.
Depends.. very good if you like to see smoke!!I wanted to know if overpowering a sub is good or bad?
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/word.gif.64b12e39f936af3b4fff38a1c0bd0244.gif and the installmy DD 1508's had an RMS of 450...I ran 1800 rms to them without issues...so I guess it depends on your sub quality....
x2 im giving my type Rs about 800 each.also, the ratings on the subs are not always accurate. I feed my type-R's much more than rated power, ported.
treo make very nice subs.cool.thanks guys. anybody here know anything about treo engineering? I've got the new treo te 12 and love it but am considering selling it and keeping the pioneer. whatcha think?
I don't want to sell it but could use the extra cash. I spent $30 on the pioneer and $300 on the treo so if I could get anywhere close to the same quality from the pioneer I was considering it.if you love it, why sell it? i know nothing about them, but i hear all good about em. why do you want the pioneer over it?
