well for anyone who has seen the previous thread, this will officially put a stamp on the install guy being retarded.
conversation went as follows today with exact word for word
ME : i got everything to get this wall done, can u match install price quoted by other shop so i can get it done here. hes going to do the wall, full install and HO alt for 1350.
Install guy: i cant give you a final price until we actually finish the wall itself. reason i say that is because i dont think two 18's will fit in ure car.
ME: i have seen 18's in tbirds before, i know they fit
Install guy:even if they do fit the box wont be up to tuning specs, due to lack of room. if u want 18's walled so bad, i got some solo x 18's that will be perfect in a wall
ME: .......pause......you just said two 18's wouldnt fit, what makes solo x 18s any different....
Install Guy: that fact that there square will make for a snug fit.
Me:......................(really long pause)............. ok im lost here. two 18'' square subs fit better then two 18'' round subs.......... i wasnt born yesterday that doesnt seem logical....
Install guy: well regardless. we can make ure wall work out with solo x's. besides nobody in the car audio world has heard of FI audio, ((note))))))(at this point he is trying to avoid the fact that he knows what he just said he couldnt back up))))).........besides common sense tells me this. ure two 12's will hit harder anyway. as a consumer i would see it the easy way which makes more sense. ure l7 12's sell for 449.99 a sub, ure 18'' (((has a hard time pronouncing FI))) only cost 294.00, right there common sense says that kicker sub is better..
