Got my gear installed (pics inside)

So after I was quoted two days to get get it done... and them taking three days... I finally got my car back.

Only having the car a couple hours, so far these JL Audio 8W7's are fantastic! Very solid and far louder than I expected. From Kid Rock to Jay-Z, the subs great and clean. Very pleased!

The best part is the Image Dynamics components. These get crazy loud and a simply amazing. Plenty of mid bass and the highs are crisp. I don't have enough time in the car with this system yet, but I'll work on adding different styles of music. Too early for a review.

Nice choice on all the equipment man. Seems like the quality of sound in that thing must be pretty decent. Would have upped the budget on the headunit a bit though and gone with the 9887 instead, but all around I'm sure you can't complain.

my friend had a pair of 8w7s in a ported JL box and the output definitely surprised me... they lacked low end though... how is 40hz and below in that sealed box?

There was no budget limits really. I didn't chose the 9887 because I'm not interested in going active yet. The main reason I chose the 9886 is for the USB and iPod outs and I thought the screen was pretty nice.
