Similar stuff happened in LA all this shooting and violence and specially those dam'n thiefs that are just on the look out to jack your shi't.

Car audio isn't dying, intelligence of it is. Everyone around here for the most parts thinks JL is the best and Audiobahn makes a great sub. People are just not well informed by the shitty shops in the area.

isnt century 2000 still open up there. i worked there in 1994. well they used to be good place to go but i havent been there in years.

I also think its dyeing. i rember freshman year you could walk out into the parking lot and every one had a system. now its me and 2 other kids with systems. and both of the other kids shit them slves when they found out i had 2 8's that where louder then there 2000WATT 12'S YO!!!!!

Tons of excitement around here.....I'm not sure who the guy is down the street from me, but he has an Astro van, and every day he's outside working on it, I've seen the subs from passing by, and they honestly looked like DD's, but I've never stopped to ask him or chat, just go bumping by with my 18" Nightshade and he'd give me the thumbs up..

I wish my friends were in to car audio. Actually theres one that haves 2 12 sony explodes on a shitty prefad bandpass eclosure with a sony amp, wich sounds very distorted.

I have to agree man. All the guys at work I work with are all Idiots when it comes to car audio. They wan't to throw in huge power and like 4 12's or 2 15's without any electrical upgrades. I try to explain to them how crucial the electrical is, but they just dont seem to grasp it. One of them ended up blowing his RF T2000BD without electrical upgrades. The amp only lasted him 2 days. Lol. and they don't seem to understand the diference between a prefab box VS a well built box. Oh well.

they ask me what i have. o 600watt amp to 2 8's.... and they think im lieing because they have 2200watt amp and 2 12's.

although i did meet one kid i like a lot with full active components but no subs. car had great SQ but im 18 and immature so i like my bass.

you mean kenwood, everyone around here thinks kenwood is awesome stuff. People at school would always talk about infinity being some of the best speakers too.

I don't want to inform them the reality of car audio though, it might hurt their feelings or make them feel dumb. LOL

Dam'n man, I think I wouldnt sleep leaving my car outside parked in the street all night. Good thing I have a garage. Talking about crackheads, I saw a homeless dude selling a lanzar amp 3 days ago for 20 bucks. I was going to buy it, but that's just suporting the thief, so I didnt because I'm sure he jack'd it.
