Is Car Audio Dying?

Well lately I've being going out a lot, and I rarely see peeps bumping. Back in L.A it was the same. Back then when I was going through elementary and middle school through the early and late 90's I saw more cars with systems, playing in the streets etc. Do you guy's seet it declining?

i hear you man, i live in san fran and in the late 80's, early 90's everyone was bumpin... back then we had the friday, saturday night cruise too. then people started too many fights and shootings and the cops shut it down... after that i saw less and less people with systems. people still have them though, every now and then i'll hear about a sideshow in oakland and cruise through and see it's still going. not like it was though...

Tons of excitement around here.....I'm not sure who the guy is down the street from me, but he has an Astro van, and every day he's outside working on it, I've seen the subs from passing by, and they honestly looked like DD's, but I've never stopped to ask him or chat, just go bumping by with my 18" Nightshade and he'd give me the thumbs up..

Car audio isn't dying, intelligence of it is. Everyone around here for the most parts thinks JL is the best and Audiobahn makes a great sub. People are just not well informed by the shitty shops in the area.
