Does not really matter I think. One disadvantage of inverted mounting is the extra noise that comes from the pole-vent and possibly the spider. You also have a higher risk of damaging the woofer. Only advantage I can think of is that the Box-volume slightly increases

advantages = removes driver displacement in box (more airspace)

easier wireing

disadvantages = extra noise(cone slap,etc)

subs in the way (easier to damage)

other than that, if you change the polarity on them, its the same thing.
