internet brands - all they're hyped up to be?

EDIT: And to add insult to injury, why don't you talk to squeak and audiolife on this forum. They both heard marks UNFINISHED setup in the blazer with a pair of 12" type-rs. I'm sure they'll be glad to tell you about their experiences.

You have obviously no idea what you are talking about. My guess is that you have zero experience with the RL-P, or type-r, and minimal knowledge about the potential of your SX. We've had experience with ALL THREE. In fact, we have each of those subs laying around right now (i just sold my SX yesterday). So don't tell me what i do and don't know about each of the subs. We've tested em all to their limits in every environment possible. Excuse me for praising the type-r for being a better sub. Why don't you come out here and listen to our setups and try to bash it. You'll be embarrassed.
You also must have missed my thread concerning the SX vs. seXXX vs. type-r. It was a doozy and pissed off quite a people like yourself, the arrogant "support whatever underground company i can without any real testing" forum n00b.

My comparison thread is in the type-r monstrosity somewhere, look for it. You'll be surprised. I'll give you the cliff notes, SX lost to both the seXXX and the type-r. Tried different boxes for all the subs, same power levels, same vehicle. Not only that, the type-r handled the power better (it handles both eD nine.1s on music, the SX and seXXX don't), it sounded better to me, and just is a badass sub.

So until you have some testing of your own, STFU n00b!!!!

And BTW, we don't bash any subs. We say what we think is the best for a certain install. If it requires a sealed box, stay the hell away from the type-r. I've recommended tons of other subs to people on a daily basis. We don't bash, we tell the truth. If the type-r doesn't work in a certain situation, we'll most definitely recommend something else.

your obviously confused about peak distorted output and linear output:uhoh:

wow, you can play a test tone all loud and distorted wooohoo, congrads. In terms of linear output both the rl-p and sx will beat the type-r /of story.

which btw... under 400 watts the CVR is a better pick... more effeciant and a similar sound, not quite as tight but it is louder.

yet you have never used a type R.. hm?

The R sounds great right up to its limits...

which btw, what the hell incentive do we have to suggest the type R? lol... its what works best, thats that.

You're a ****ing idiot.

The type-r is louder on MUSIC!!! You haven't even heard our installs and are saying all this shit about clipping. No clipping anywhere near my setup.

Squeak is in this thread, ask him about marks setup. Like i said before, until you have some REAL TESTING (not what a piece of paper the company produced says), you can STFU right now.

And THATS /story.

If you wanna know what i think, i think you are just pissed because you have SX's and the SX got is *** KICKED by the type-r not just in one, but TWO completely different installs. A 10" and a 15" version. To tell you the truth, i was a little pissed myself. I didn't want to believe it. But then i came to the realization that the type-r was just a better sub. It works better, handles the power better, and is just louder. I got over it and now beat the crap out of my type-r with no problems.

And Jmac, i see that you're in here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Please, PLEASE don't merge this with the type-r thread. For the love of god, keep this one separate.

yeah thats real confidence inspiring considering you think that a JL 12w6v2 doesn't sound good sealed...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

And youve extencively listened to all subs in a variety of boxes with different amounts of power, right? If not dont talk, you have no room to talk WHAT SO EVER if you havnt. You are entitled to your opinion but your opinion does NOT override experience, so stop acting like it does.

Did you forget to read his comparison thread, there WAS a sq portion of it, or were you just completely ignorant of the fact that your poor SX got spanked by a sub that costs a 3rd of yours? Get over yourself, your talking out of your *** and making a fool out of yourself...

ive heard a few in the JL sealed boxes... and they aren't impressive...

Also heard in JL REc'd ported box...not impressed again.

To each his own, but thats just not my cup o tea... the w7 is MUCH preferred SQ wise.

I think your thinkin of the 12w3v2 not the w6v2 because i think in CA&E they rated the w6v2 one of the top SQ subs ever tested. W7 is more of a sql sub.

SQ is subjective, gotta remember that. I prefer the boosted low end the w7 provides.
