I installed my friends 15 today in 3.5^33 off of a tantrum 1200.1 and the stock hu. It sounds very tight and clear buts really lacking on the low notes that my q absoltly hammers. Could this be because its a stock hu. Otherwise its pretty **** loud and sounds good. Not reaching the high x-max's that it should though.

Some, but not all, stock HUs have a built in HPF crossover that slowly engages itself as the volume goes up. It's to prevent the stock speakers it's attached to from distorting at high volumes. Seeing as Sonic FX is very similar to IA, low end shouldn't be at a loss at all unless it's install related or a HU with a mind of it's own.

IMO, YMMV, etc, etc.

my Q 15s had no issues goin low //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ... and chances are that is one of my old ones lol
