Sounds like the amp if nothing was hooked else was hooked up but power,ground, and remote. Do you have another amp you can try just for testing?

wouldnt be a bad idea to see if u could try n get one just to hook up n see if it goes into protect, but at least as much as i know def just sounds like the amp to me..ive had amps show blue or green light, whatever the amp has fora few seconds then go to red n they were blown
