ok so i spent about 6 hours getting everything installed in my zx2 escort today. heres the rundown. before i did this setup my head unit rcas grounded out or went out or whatever u wanna call it. anyways i regrounded them to the radio. when the radio went out like that it messed the amp up.

well i sent the amp in to get fixed and they told me the rcas had a hot come through and short some resistors but said it would be fixed no problem

i got the amp back today and ran all my hots, grounds, rcas, remote wire and speaker wire.

i hooked it up and BAM protect! AAHHHHH!

red light blinks once then the blue amp light comes on for a second, then back to the red light for good,

IS THE AMP STILL MESSED UP?

ok let me know what detail??? i have very good grounds. all sanded to detail and gooped up with noox wich helps keep the metal from rusting. and all power is good. put dmm on amp and it gets 14.4 on the power and 13.2 on the remote lead

yea.
like subwoofer models, and their coil configs.

amplifier model(s) and its(their) max ohm load and rms

wiring, and how you have your subs/amp wired.

how are the gains set?

etc. the more the merrier.
NOTHING was hooked up accept the hot ground and remote when i turned amp on to see what she would do (she failed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif) she stay in protect even at low gain

use a MP3 player instead of ur radio and see what happens. if all wiring is good and still does it with mp3 player then try some other RCA's (they can be real short just go from mp3 to amp) if it still does the same thing then its broken dude. on a side note did you send my batt out today?

but the subs and stuff are outta the equation cuz they were not hooked up at the time it went to protect. but i have all good grounds and power is good and rcas werent even hooked up. i tried alot of stuff. hooked just power up ( had both hooked up, then took ground off battery from amp) and the protect light was still on with no ground. i even tried it with everything hooked up like it would magically play lol

IT DIDNT!
