Installed buddy's system.. what's wrong?

That happened to me, I checked the remote wire and it showed 12 volts.. went nuts but it was because I brought the ground from the front battery, I did a new ground in the back and it worked fine since.

did you really say you put the sub amp remote wire INTO the remote control jack on the back?

wow.
FIRST INSTALL guys.. I'm sorry lol.. I have never done anything like this before, mine was done by someone else.. and yes.. I did.. it was the only place where I saw anything about remote wire so I did.. my bad.. it will be fixed soon I'll let yall know how it works, and no it's not a ground problem, we grounded in the back to the chassis bout 18 in. from amp, very good ground, hope this wire swap fixes all the problems (which it should), except the proposed dead battery lol

THANKS GUYS!! There was a blue wire AND a blue wire with white stripe, but the blue with white strip was coming out of the vehicle's harness or something not the HU, so we spliced the blue, recharged the battery (it died, but he had a charger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif), and BINGO, BOOM BOOM! Thanks for all your help (and flaming :p)!

ur so ignorant.

FIrst ur remote is suppose to show 12 volts.

Second ur ground has nothing to do with the remote wire.

o and the best place to ground is the front battery.

lol i think he meant he checked the remote wire and it showed 12 volts, which it's supposed to, so then he started freaking out because he couldn't figure out why it didn't work if the remote wire DID have 12v running through it.. like he was hoping it wouldn't have voltage to it, that way he would know it was a bad connection with the remote wire, but he was stumped when it had voltage..
