Installed buddy's system.. what's wrong?

where IS the remote wire? WAIT the manual said that wire slot was a direct lead remote thing but it also said it could be used for optional wired remote control so maybe it's for the remote control and that's why the volume is shooting up too!!!

Oh boy the plot thickens.

Yes, that is the problem, hook up the remote wire to the remote "turn on" from the headunit which is blue with a white stripe. This wire may also be hooked up to a power antenna in the car.

Lol guys it's not a crappy install.. pretty clean, it's just my first.. geez.. and also the remote wire is plugged into the remote wire slot on the Kicker KX1200.1, and the remote wire is plugged into the "wire" slot on the back of the Pioneer DEH-6000 HU.. so where's the amp not cutting off and the headunit's volume freakin' out coming from? Brand new HU (week or so old)
Pioneer??? More than likely you hooked up the blue and blue/white striped one incorrectly.

Or the HU is bad, Take it back.

Or Do what Ed Lester said.

You had a shop did it? I thought you installed it? But yea the remote wire is located on your wiring harness. Its not on the hu itself...so you might want to check that.
