Long behold and I believe I have just got to the point where I am close to install my jugg!
I'll start by listing what I have followed by my ?s, more rather on the side of advice.
Equipment:
Dodge Neon 96
Stock wiring - I'll guess and say its 10 gauge under the hood.
Stock alternator that got recently replaced. Idk why! But its an OEM so I guess 90A
New battery I got for 100 under the hood, I'll have to check what model or whatever it is if needed.
(Had a bad alt which killed my existing battery)
8 gauge scosche power and ground from my last subs I got from Wali world
Roughly 17ft of some 0 gauge knu koncept ofc and 3ft ground also knu 0 gauge - came with 150A fuse
14 gauge speaker wire
Jugg 15
And soon mmats 2000.1
My questions are more of option recommendations that I've thought of(I'm 17 so its just guesses that I have no XP in)
1. I was told I could keep the 8 gauge and just use 2 grounds and that's it
2. Use the 0 gauge for big 3. And whatever is left for power car is small so it might work.
3. Buy 4 gauge and use that . No big 3 . Use old 8 gauge power for speaker wire
4. Still buy 4 gauge but do big three with 0 gauge and 8 for power wire
Idk idk idk
Bunch more options but idk!
Also I'm thinking about an extra battery but I feel it would just strain the alt even more.
Most of my questions come from that. Over load the alt, then again it has manual windows and barely uses any electric stuff in car.
A question if I use option 1 or something similar... If I use 8 gauge power to amp how much will the amp be putting out?
Will it put out about 600 rms at max or will it try to output all 2000? If its not a big issue ide prob do that since I have that already in the car ATM.
But like I said I would like some input on this please.
In depth would be nice from someone who was in this mess at some point.
Thanks
