install questions

I am partaking a huge (for me) install this weekend. I have an 03 Navigator, when I bought it , the guy had some wires run already. I threw my JL10W7 with a JL 500/1 using his ****** RCAs and some 8 gauge he had run. Since then I have acquired the following for this install. Kicker 4 gauge kit and a distro block, I had some good Monster RCAs. a Pioneer AVH-P3300BT double din for the HU. MA RK6 comps for the front with a RF T600.4 to run those. Also a 24" flip down monitor to replace the factory 7". Metra Harness and dash kit.

My questions are..

Am I going to have issues running the stock 6x8s in the rear door and the 8" sub in the rear?

Do I have to run all the wires from the flip down to the HU, or can I use the factory stuff that is there?

I will be running a power inverter to play an xbox in the back. With the JL and RF amp plus everything else am I going to strain the electrical too much?

Any suggestions or tips? I have done some basic single din and amp sub set ups. This will be my first attempt at highs and all the entertainment ****.

Thanks in advance

run the rear 6x8 off the head unit. disconnect factory 8"

new wiring to the new flip-down.

you should have a new, strong battery. and do the Big 3.

you need tools. soldering iron and heat shrink for connections is superior to crimp. no wrap and tape connections. wire loom keeps wiring tidy and protected - just like OEM. when in doubt, do it like OEM.

i don't put power wire under sill panels. i pull seats and carpet and route it in the corner edge of the floor. if the monitor is on the ceiling, the mount won't line up and you'll have an issue securing it to the roof. if that is the case, the headliner cannot support the new monitor. i would silicone some plywood to the roof for mounting the monitor - but the silicone will need a week to cure fully and will stink during that time.

the inverter can cause noise on the electrical system. i would give that a completely separate power run up to the battery (separately fused) and ground in a separate location as well. basically, keep it away from your amps. since it is 110V, it can electrocute you. i wouldn't put it under a seat and i would have a toggle switch or means of easily turning off the inverter when not in use so the fan noise and power draw is eliminated.

Thanks for the help. Why and how disconnect the 8? Sometimes I take the 10" sub out on long trips. So then I would have no bass. Are the factory enclosures good enough for an upgraded 8? say like a SA or something?
