help plan my wiring

i have an aftermarket head unit, 4 speakers (single 4 ohm) sub, and mono amp.

im about to add a 4 channel amp to my 4 speakers currently running off head unit..

my question is what do i need for wiring?

right now heres my plan:

mount amp under front passenger seat.

1. run power to battery (could do a distro but i think that would be harder with my other power wire running down the driver side of my car.)

2. ground to bolt holding seat in place

3. run turn on lead to head unit.

4. run rcas to head unit.

5. run speaker wire to 4 of my speakers.

set gains and call it a day.

anything im missing here?

i never ground to seat bolts. ever.

i make new ground locations on the floor.

whats wring with a seat bolt!? its like a foot away!!!

how about the seat belt bolt? lol

nothing that was engineered from the factory to save your life should be used as a ground point.

you have to sand away paint to make a good ground connection.

that exposes metal and will result in rust

rust weakens the metal and eventually results in that bolt location being weak - who wants to buy a car where the seat bolts or belt bolts are rusted?

the ring terminal is a softer metal, meaning the bolt isn't factory tight.

i don't compromise any safety related feature or structure, bolts for seats and seat belts were engineered and tested for that purpose.

i never ground to seat belt bolts or seat mounting bolts.

i also never ground to suspension bolts. i see it done all the time, and i cringe.

make a hole, sand away metal, bolt the ground terminal, and coat with protector or silicone to help minimize and prevent rusting.
