honestly, sellin the W7 and getting something BETTER and cheaper is a good option

do they have to run new speaker wires?

THey are probably running under the car because its usually easier if there is a good way to run it.

does your buddy know how to mount a W7... i've watched only 1 before... didnt look to fun, especially if its his first time.

do it your self, man we all had to start somewhere. just take your time. read up on here. and double and triple check your wiring its really not hard, just leave your self some time and expect to run into some problems but nothing that cant be figured out. good luck.

You dont have to rip out the seats, just the side plasticsthat hold the edges of the carpet down (or run the wire under the car) and take off the door panels for the door speakers. Take off the plastics around the headunit. Wire away

use google/youtube, it might help.. neighbor kid across the street installed his system and learned from youtube, however it looked like shit cuz it had bare wires all over cuz he dont know how to cut/hide wires, but im sure you have the common sense to do so

google/youtube how to install a deck in 2002 explorer, connect wires ect. then google how to run power wire, see if theres somethin that shows in your vehicle, use whatever help you can find online, just dont pay to get it done -_-

There is no video on how to remove the stereo bezzel. I've looked. Nothing is real good. I have a print out on how to do it, but it doesn't really explain how and why. Just shows pictures.

400?hell I just got the stuff in my sig installed minus the deck from what I would say is the best shop in town and it was 700,I was reluctant but went ahead and they did a great job ,they installed the equipment and put another layer of ss on the doors and built a nice amp rack where the rear speaker holes are and the comps are mounted on mdf so all in all i would do it again.Oh and they repositioned my satellite antenna even though the reception is still shitty
