Ok Ok bonehead move here amp is a Aqx 3500 and here is the bone head move I tried to use a Hifonics bass knob instead of the AP knob. I turned it up got half way and the fuse before the amps blew. Now when I put in a new inline fuse It blows as soon as the amps power up... Any insight or solution would be greatly appreciated

Ok right after that I reconnected the AP knob blew a fuse.. then I tried with no knob connected same result blew the fuse everything worked perfect before this. I got a run of 1/0 that I was ready to install should I run it with no fuse just outside the car and see what happens?

you may have damaged the amp. inspect the amp and look for burns near the power/ground terminals. you may need to bench test the amp to verify. you should be able to put a 10A fuse and power it up just to verify it's not the car. someone with a benchtop power supply can help you.

Ok disconnected the sub ap sub amp and the front stage amp powers up and plays with no problems so the amp I connected the bass knob to is the problem.. No burn marks or anything like that.. I would have never figured something so little as a bass knob could mess my amp up it's like two weeks old... Probably hard to find a shop that can bench it around here so looking for advice how bad of a idea would it be to hook the amp up with no fuse just a straight shot to the battery... Edit popped the cover off the back looks good no burns on the board smells good etc.. So question is should I try direct line no fuse or any other advice would be appreciated

Well did some testing with the remote The lights on top of the amp are on so I tried to jump it from the remote to the power with speaker wire to see if I could get the power or protect led to light up and got nothing... Anyone know a solution or a amp repair man near minneapolis.... I never would have thought a different brand bass know could mess a amp up so bad I mean it was on there only for ten second got to like half volume then the fuse blew.. So pisses looks like no bass for a few weeks

I'm going to try the guy I bought it from and audiopipe amp is litterally two weeks old I didn't purchase the warrenty.. And looks like there sold out.. The amp was a beast for the price just can't believe a different brand bass knob would short my amp out grrr life with no beats sucks
