Installing a new amp...Few quick questions!

Alright,

First of all I'm new and I did kind of search but couldn't really find what I was wondering. So I had a little system in my truck before but some stupid accidents and now they're in the garbage, but anyways. I am looking to buy two SA-12s and not quite sure on the amp yet. Definitely 1000 watt RMS plus though to push the two subs. Now here is my question, my whole truck has the stock electrical system minus a new battery ( nothing special though )...so do I need anything more to run a 1000 watt RMS amp? I'm just hoping I dont need a new alt or bigger battery or something like that. I could definitely do the Big3 since Ive been reading and see it seems to be a pretty easy and helpful mod.

Oh vehicle is a 2003 Chevy S10 btw, not sure if that matters.

That was quick, I was editing it to give a little more info and you posted before I finished. But you think doing the big 3 and I will need to use 0ga wire?

you will need to use either an extremely good 4 gauge or a good 0 gauge (you could even use a nice CCA wire)

the SA-12 is rated at 600rms thats all i know about it but hopefully u can run it at 1ohm, buy a AQ 1200D run it at 1 ohm so they get 600 each.

i have a full size truck so maybe ur alt batt etc is smaller less efficient but i havent touched my stuff im using some random ebay wire supposedly 4 guage, no problems subs sound good

- I'd probably buy the saz-1500d. Having some headroom is always nice.

- I'd definitely use 1/0 awg for the big 3 as well as power and ground wire. Knu Konceptz just released this stuff: Car Audio Wire Their Kollosus and KLMX wire are both pretty good, and the KCA is kind of a combination of both (jacket from Kollosus/copper clad aluminum of the KLMX). Should be pretty nice stuff.

- There's a real possibility that a battery upgrade will be needed too, especially if you plan to amplify your front stage as well as the subs.
