Infinity Primus car speakers?

I was just at my local Best Buy and found some PR6500CS component speakers on sale plus I had a best buy coupon for 20 bucks off. It was hard to pass up some comps for my doors for $80 bucks especially since I wasn't planning on upgrading speakers in my car anyways. The strange thing is nothing is mentioned about them on the Infinity website. Does anyone know anything about them? Are they above the reference line or below? I am actually now thinking about getting the rear 6x9's PR9603IS that are offered because they are only $95 bucks. The comps sound pretty decent but I really don't know how good they are as I have nothing to compare them to. I do think they sound better than the Alpine comps I had in my last car though.

Any thoughts or input on them would be great. Especially if they are above or below the reference line.

Well I have all 4 now in my car and they sound pretty good. The comp 6.5's in the front and the 3 way 6x9's in the rear. Can't comment on if they sound better or worse than anything else because all I have to compare them to is my factory speakers. I am sure once I dump my crappy Clarion deck and get them amplified they will sound much better, but for now I am pretty happy with the improvement over the stock speakers. They also don't seem to be brutally bright like some of the other Infinity speakers I have heard. Definitely liking the new tweeter design they are advertising on the box. Still wish there was more information out there about them.

Yes, you should definitely hear the difference once they're amplified. One of my first component sets were Infinity Reference. They were integral in teaching me, over a long period of time, not to ever buy them again. These may be different, but if you got a great deal on these and they sound good to you - I think that's awesome.
