I'm thinking of going JL Audio need some opinions.

DC SoundLab and T3 Audio have the weird ohms. Atomic doesn't say theirs apparently and the others are either too low of wattage or too high. The level 4 subs say 3.60 ohm for RE not sure why since the description says dual 2 ohm. They look nice but again that's 2000 watts if I get 2 and a 2000 watt amp is kindof costly. I could go with level 3 but they are dual 4 ohm so If i have 2 that's 4 ohms at 1200 watts still costly for an amp that does that at 4 ohms. I'm looking for around 1000 watts at 2 ohms so I can get a decent priced amp.

All the T3 and DC Subs I looked at were dual 2 or dual 4, if you go with dual 4's you wire each sub to 2 ohms, then wire the two of them down to 1 ohm, a 1200 watt amp ay 1 ohm isn't hard to find or afford. The DC Subs are underrated too, I saw a video of a guy with a pair of lvl 3's dropping over 15K into a pair, not a daily set up, but still. A lot of times you can tell them what your looking for and they can suggest the right sub for you. Shoot an email to Rob@DCSoundlab.com and see what he can suggest for ya.

Do what you really gotta read up on some stuff before you should even think about getting into audio.

2 dual4 subs equals a 1ohm load

Not if you wire them in series lol. I didn't even think about wiring them to 1 ohm I guess I could do that never really liked the idea of getting that low of impedance but I guess it would be ok as long as the amp is very stable.

I emailed them I'll find out what they say they do look like nice subs if the price is less then JL. Theres no dealers near me so wondering where they will send me to order them.

You would order direct from them and they would ship the product to you.
Ah ok so have to order thru email that's a little off putting to me not very secure. On another note what is a decent 1000 watts @ 1 ohm stable amp that isn't too expensive?

There are dealers in NY, but I don't think your close to them. According to the dealer locator on the DC site they have none near you. I know one in NYC and another up in Ogdensburg.

You'd get more output from one DC sub than you'd get from a pair of JL's. I did a comp when I 1st got my pair of DC 10's, I went up against a guy with a pair of JL 13W7's and beat him by almost 4 db. Almost identical vehicles, both with daily music boxes, he had a pair of JL 1000/1's and I had an Orion 2500d. Score was sealed on the dash using the AC190. Loudest I ever got with the my daily DC 10's set up was a 148.6.

U can call them and place and order. If u want cheap check into audiopipe and MB Quart. Both will do rated and are pretty cheap.
Hah my brother has an audiopipe, mb quart was sold to maxx sonic so I don't like them anymore. Something around $250 would be fine.
