Im stumped. someone please help.

Been having problems with my sub/amp for awhile now. Heres the scenerio. My sub started cutting in and out randomly one day and kept doing it more and more often. I checked everything and all was good. Tried different RCA's everything. Still no output. So i than rewired the sub to 4 ohm and ran the sub to my front stage amp and it worked. (so i figured the amp was old and just broke).

So i bought another amp (brand new) for my sub. Well i rewired the sub back to one ohm and hooked it up to my Brand New American Bass phd1600.1 and it works and sounds good... for about the 1 minute at a lower volume than it cuts out. The amp stays on (not it protect either) but just wont give any output. I than tried running different RCA's thinking it HAD to be that. Still nothing. So i started to think the SUB pre outs on the HU must be done. But no because when i hook up the sub pre outs to the rear channel of my front stage amp the sub wil play.. So i have absolutly NO idea what it could be. Someone please help.

Are the grounds clean and tight. What size cable are you using?

Sounds like bad ground connection

Im using belva 0 gauge.... I had a pretty reputable shop install this stuff last year. The ground is still secure and all. If its a bad ground woudnt the amp be going into protect/blowing fuses or not stay on?

A bad ground will cause protect on certain amps or will cause a cut in power so the amp is running low power.

Check the ground or take a photo of the end of the ground so we have more info.
