i have no idea how to hook it up. just basically wire the colored wires together, run front/rear output rca's from the deck to the equalizer, but now the part that i dont understand. line in (low level input) and sub output. on my deck i have rca ports to wire it from the deck to the amp that powers the subs and rca ports to wire front/rear outputs. all the other rca ports are for avi. where does the low input come from and where do i even hook up the sub output to or from?

heres the shitty diagram for it

Ahh, I see your reason for confusion. Pick either the front or rear from your deck and connect that to the "line in" on the EQ. Be sure to adjust the fade and tone settings on the deck to neutral or centered (not -1 or +1 but 0)

Now connect your sub amp to "sub out"... front amp to "front".... rear to "rear"

Your EQ will now control the "fader" function.

No. Only use 1 output from deck. That 1 output (either front or rear) will goto EQ "IN". That is the only connection from the deck. Your amps will now connect to the front/rear/sub on the EQ only.

ah i get it now. thanks for the help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

lol.

i have another question if anyone is willing to help.

wires:

yellow- left +

yellow/black- left -

orange- right +

orange/black- right -

red- b+

violet- remote on

black- ground -

brown- source ground -

now im really confused.

my deck has where the brain is

2 green

2 purple

2 white

1 light blue

1 dark blue

1 yellow

1 brown

and i seen up front of the car 2 gray

actually i looked at a manual and it gave me this:

so in other words i wire:

yellow- left (+) >white (+)

yellow/black- left (-) >green/black (-)

orange- right (+) >gray (+)

orange/black- right (-) >purple/black (-)

but what about

red, violet, and brown?

Purple and Violet are the same thing.. red is always 12v from what i have always know. the brown should be a ground. But not 100% sure cause i am not looking at it. would this be a Chrysler or Dodge Vehicle by any chance??

tie into your deck for power, should be fine

2002 grand am.

kenwood ktv 613 hu

alpine 15 type r sub

mtx 1800 mono amp

jl 6/9's and 5.25's

sounstorm multi channel amp

soundstorm s7eq equalizer

not the best but its to my liking i guess.

the only problem is that the purple on the hu are for the rear right speaker and the purple on the eq. is for remote on. brown is for source ground but on the hu its for mute. and red just says b+ so im guessing i just run that to the battery or power wire from the hu. yes it is fused. black ground i can just put to the black ground on the hu. so basically just the purple and brown idk what to do with
