im so confused. (equalizer help?)

2002 grand am. kenwood ktv 613 hu

alpine 15 type r sub

mtx 1800 mono amp

jl 6/9's and 5.25's

sounstorm multi channel amp

soundstorm s7eq equalizer

not the best but its to my liking i guess.

the only problem is that the purple on the hu are for the rear right speaker and the purple on the eq. is for remote on. brown is for source ground but on the hu its for mute. and red just says b+ so im guessing i just run that to the battery or power wire from the hu. yes it is fused. black ground i can just put to the black ground on the hu. so basically just the purple and brown idk what to do with

Kool I just put a Tv in my boy 2001 GP. Any way you just gave you self the answer. Its not s matching up colors that is important it is matching up the functions. If remote on EQ is purple then tap into hu remote should be blue.

yea i basically gave myself most of the wiring answers haha. im trying not to be a noob but sometimes i just dont have any idea. that leaves me with 1 wire which is the brown (source ground????) wire. and i have no idea what a source ground does or what other wire i can match that up to.

Think about it boss its a GROUND..... So ground it.. Nothing wrong with asking question when u are not sure. The right mistake can cost u a lot of cash. Here do some reading here http://www.the12volt.com/Default.asp? might help u out in the future with other issues

just to make sure would that even make sense? 2 grounds?

black > hu black wire

brown > chasse

yeah some times i even ground my hu ground and chassis ground togather
