OP
The protection mode is coded. It has the exclamation point, along with a number. "01" "02" etc. The code has to mean something. I've read others having a code of 02.What codes would you be looking for in an amp manual?
If the protect light is on, there's something wrong. That's about all the diagnostic help you're gonna get
Can someone clarify?I just noticed this. Explain this to me. So I connect speaker wire from the power and ground terminals, then reconnect the power and ground?
You only hook it up one time, there should be a small spark that discharges the amp completely, then take out the jumper and reconnect everything to see if it works. If not, send it back for RMA.Can someone clarify?
I see, so jump it without anything attached, no power or ground, then take out the wire and then reconnect the powerYou only hook it up one time, there should be a small spark that discharges the amp completely, then take out the jumper and reconnect everything to see if it works. Sonic Electronix is notorious for having refurbs and selling it as new. Most likely a refurb.Yeah, that didn't work either :/. Now when the amp powers on, it says 20hz/80hz and 80db for gain. I give up. I already got an RMA number from SE. I will say this, when I opened up the amp, it was stained and a relative helping me out asked me if I bought it used. So maybe this was a refurbished amp?
Wow! Maybe that's why it was 180 with an amp kit?!Sonic Electronix is notorious for having refurbs and selling it as new. Most likely a refurb.
