ya im gonna buy a 5.0 and it has a box in the back with a couple of old mtx thunderstorms or something. im assuming they are 10's or 12's. and they look like they have been thru hell, are they repairable? if not, will any 10'' or 12'' sub fit in the box?

Awsome choice on car man. Whats it look like give us some specs. Also it all depends on the cb ft of box and the mounting depth I mean if the mounting depth is 6 inchs surely a XXX wont fit. so mesure the depth and cb ft and see which sub matches that and buy those subs or just build another box and get any sub you want.

well its got a black body, doors are unequeal with the sides, door black is darker than the rest of the bodies black. its got stains everywhere in the car. its definately a fixer upper, body and upholstery at least. but the engine is diff. story.

that thing hits 140 easily, and im sure will go well past 160, as ive heard other 5.0's can do. ya, that thing purs like a kitten and starts up instantly, opposed to my moms 97 lariot that takes a sec. or two. ya the thing definately has nice guts, and i can allways work on outside.

Whats she got 351 or 289? Awsome car. I have a friends who has a 1969 fastback with a 351 and its a close match until 80 mph in my 1995 5.0. LOL I have two body syled 5.0s. I will try and post mine sometime.

man, my parents went apeshyt when i told em i was buyin it. so i might just have to park it at the shop, maybe go weakind cruisin some. at least untill i can get a decent insurance policy on it...

You are definately in for one heck of a good time with your new 5.0!!

I have been using those engines for the last 4 years or so. They have always outdone themselves in performance and reliability. Plus- they are a good deal of fun to work on too.

I am currently running a full GT40 5.0 in my Cougar, which is brand new. WOW, is about the only thing I can say. Right now, though, the Cougar is going to be retired in favor of building an 88 Tbird from the ground up. First step will be transfering the Cougars full drivetrain into the Tbird. Lots of body work as well as interior mods to be done. I will try and post pics of the car in progress. should have a few as early as this evening if I am lucky.

Now, if I could only sell a completed Rolling Chasis-less engine/transmission from a Cougar fairly quick...............//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
