imo - a cap is a voltage regulation device for the input dc current. its creates a buffer to the voltage drop, and thats it. if you have one, sure- go head and use it. if you dont have one. dont waste your time.

I think its humorous how in the average post you ask a question and get like 1 or 2 responses. You ask a question and include the word "Capacitor" and you get like 18,000 responses LOL

We're vocal because it's quite irritating seeing the same f'in question in almost the exact same words 4-5 times a week. Since sarcasm and ridicule seem to actually get the attention of morons a little better than actual facts and reason, getting inflammatory early on helps to keep the topic below the 20 pages because the moron who thought he knew something and was gonna add his 2 kopecks (Russian pennies, I'll let you look up their value) sees that some other moron who said the exact same thing was made to look like a twit and doesn't post for fear that his e-thug persona wouldn't last if people were laughing at him.
