im a noob but i need advice

alright so check this out

im 16 yearsold i get my license very soon

i am most likely going to get a 2003 honda element

(if i am lucky)

anyways,

i am kinda "blown away" by this whole subwoofer thing

i see people come down the street with that pounding bass and it souds sweet

im looking to buy a subwoofer system

basically

heres what im looking for:

1. affordable

2. something that doesnt necessarily sound clear but something semi loud (i was thinking about 1200 watts, that may be too high or low i dunno)

3. ported box (element has tons of room)

if you could reccomend set ups around $300 or so (just the subs and box)

also let me know what brands are dependable

i know JL is top of the line, and ive heard good things about kicker

sony?? excels in everything else how about subs??

JL and cheap...... not gonna happen. and i would say never go with sony. look into some kicker products, i havn't heard any of they're new stuff, but everyone seems to like it. look at sonic electronix, i've got some stuff off there that isn't that bad price and still sound good.

but shamsky I'd say go to ebay and look for some subs there. DO NOT but a box from bestbuy or anywhere. make it yourself or find someone to make it for you. how much money do you have for an amp

subs and box for 300 is quite easy, get a 15" sub, and buy my 3.5 @ 35 box with the money you have left over.

RE sx's are a good choice
