If you had $2200 for amps what would you buy?

I have four d2 woofers so I can wire that read alittle high.all four to 1.2ohm

All four down to .33ohm

Each pair down to .66ohm

I really want a sundown NS2 but it just cost to much money. Can't afford it nor would I pay $3500+ for one amp. With that being said.

1.VFL 20k wired at 1ohm $2200

2. Two vfl 8ks wired at .66ohm each $2150

3. Two vital power 700.1 wired at .66each for $2200 he said if I bought two.

Or any other options? The vfl 20k looks like a beast but I haven't seen anyone with one yet. Anyone see any clamp numbers out of the VFL 20k?

I would have gotten the Vital power 7k if it wasn't blue...

I'm not a fan of blue either, but you couldn't beat the price at the time. They're solid amps.

Alot of people out here run the Vital because Addictive is local... ive heard of no local failures. Seem fine getting railed on at 0.5.
I hate addictive, but they appear to be good. It is the same board as DC

Oh well thats certainly more plausible. The scv wont make that at 15v because they are optimized for 12v. So i suppose for those who can hold 15+v the vital is stronger. I usually see clamps around 4-5k starting at .5 and and ending voltage around 12-13 on the vp700.

I'm planning to build a gigantic cap bank for mine and charge at 16v. I've got over 1,000 amps of alt for just the sub amplifiers, but even that isn't overkill for four VP's

That's very probably just an off-the-shelf Zenon board with Zapco on the heatsink. At that "sale" price point it isn't bad if it makes rated power.

Zapco price per performance and power isn't going to get me where I want to be. Im looking for most power and RELIABLE POWER for $2200... right now I'm leaning towards vital power because I haven't seen one blow up yet, people seem to like them and it's something different I don't see everyday.

So we can forget all those lol even though if I could get a new NS2 for $2200 I'd buy it asap
