Check the voltage on the power wire sometimes fuses half blow so it causes problems

what do you mean " ever other spot "?

some amps have an output connection for rcas, do you have it in the input connection?

ya i know about the output rca i was asking if he put input rca from radio into that. maby he fried the amp??

and this amp does have 2 sets of rca's ( a set for in and a set for chaining another amp.

Option 2.....plug an iPod directly into the amp.....if it works it's your hu.

This. First rule of troubleshooting is to narrow down the problem. Right now you have no idea where your problem is originating, if you connect a different source directly to the amplifier it will lead to one of two outcomes:

A. The subs play therefor the problem is upstream (HU or RCA's)

B. The subs still don't play, meaning the problem is downstream (amplifier, wire to subs, subs themselves)

All you need is a $2 3.5mm (headphone jack) to RCA cable and your cell phone or MP3 player

The right spot is input bro. I have a pretty decent knowledge I'm just stumped. Just fiddled with,changed all the settings on the head unit, no luck. Turned the "SUBW" setting all the way up to +08 and then down to -08.....nothing

RCA's definitely in the right spot, also tried every other spot just in case....

you say you know but you tried both .. so means you really don't know.

Making assumptions has no place in troubleshooting. Take 5 minutes and do the fucking test, then you will know.

Do the ipod check. Hook it up to your amp and see. Maybe there is a bad connection in the box? Preouts on the radio arent turned on...I mean doing the ipod or phone check through your amp will narrow it down right away. Turn your gain up more. I had a hifonics amp one time and the gain had to really be turned up pretty high in my opinion to get ANY sound.
