Would anybody be interested in renting it?

I saw this idea before, tons of folks replied, including me, but I don't think anything ever went down.

Of course, there would be a deposit required, if you tear it up or decide to keep it you would be charged for it, deposit would be refunded upon return of DD1 otherwise.

I'm thinking like 15 bucks to use it for a few days or whatever... then ship it back to me and I'll refund the deposit.

Not really trying to make a ton money or anything, hell if you live close you can use it for free, just think I'm gonna buy one, and would like to offer it up to other folks cheap.

As an aside, anybody close to N.E. Louisiana have one of these I could borrow or rent? If so, I'd be happy to do that. If there is any interest I'll still buy one and rent and ship for folks to use.

The 15 seems like a real fair price if that includes shipping to us. If not its still a goo deal. Just the deposit is a killer I do understand the reason for it but not many have 200+ to just have on hold.

I really don't know what shipping would run. I guess that is something I need to consider. If it costs 10 bucks to ship I'd have to rent it a LOT of times to make it pay for itself. I have access to an O-Scope, just thought this would be cool to offer, and from what I've seen is just as accurate as an O-Scope.

I just really don't know any other way to make sure the thing comes back to me working, or comes back to me at all. I could do something cool once enough have rented it to pay for it, do a give-away on it for the folks who rent it or something. I'll only need it once. If I change anything I could buy another, rent it out, then give it away once the rentals have paid for it.

I've been screwed hard core buying online, read my build thread and you'll see what I'm talking about. And like I said, anybody close I'll be happy to meet somewhere and let them use it for free. It's just a toy I want that I want to share.

If they put down a deposit via Paypal and screw me I'll just keep the money, buy another, and keep sending it out to folks. I'm taking a chance here I guess, but so would everybody who rented it.

shoot ill do it. im pretty reputable with that stuff. i guess maybe look at refrences too before you send . that would help alot in cutting down the people who would steal it. also you can keep it circulating. let the people who have it rented ship to the people in line. that way there is no wait to get back if you have alot in line. that might be pushing it tho
